PRESENT: Commissioners: Bernard Smith, Michele Hassler and Frank Hurd, Charles Zuccala, Acting Cemetery Supervisor
The meeting started at 9:02am
Minutes from August 10, 2007 were approved and 3 deeds were signed.
1. Buybacks were discussed and approval to buyback was given for:
a. K-353 Dallin, 7 graves
b. E-152 Castellon, 8 graves
c. U-263 Bogosian, 3 graves
d. U-210 Reilly, 2 graves
e. V-10A McKenzie, 1 grave
Buyback letter from Town Counsel was approved and will be sent to perspective sellers. Letters will also be sent to plot owners that have unoccupied graves to see if they are interested in selling back graves to Cemetery.
2. Regarding W-13, call Mr. Bilafer to verify information noted in book.
3. Transfer of lot T-3 to Robert Garth Huthinson was approved.
4. The Briand family, GG-666, needs to be told that flowerbed enclosures are not allowed. A copy of Rules and Regulations will be sent. Funeral Homes will be notified about handing out a copy of Rules and Regulations to families. The Cemetery will implement a tagging system to be placed on the stone to let families know of violations. Also noted was that the Vietnam Memorial is in need of weeding again.
5. Frank Hurd announced his retirement and stated that he was up for renewal to the Commission.
6. Kevin Duffy has finished the repairs of monuments and cleaning of the stones for this phase.

7. One person, Ivan Myjer of Building and Monument Conservation, bid on The Old Burying Ground study. The Historical group is on board. At a later date, maybe Ivan Myjer can look at the vaults at MPC.
8. Octobers meeting should focus on finalizing the buyback program and availability of all burial space throughout the cemetery. Discussion will be had on pricing for the older side burial spaces.
