PRESENT: Commissioners: Bernard Smith and Michele Hassler, Town Manager, Brian Sullivan, DPW Operations Manager, James Dodge, and Charles Zuccala, Acting Cemetery Supervisor
The meeting started at 9:10am
Minutes from October 11, 2007 were approved and 2 deeds were signed.
1. Privatizing the Cemetery grounds was discussed. The Manager stated it would be for ground maintenance and the process would have to be addressed with the Union. Maintenance would include spring clean-up, certain number of lawn cuts, weed whacking, shrub cutting and fall leaf clean up. Personnel restructuring would be addressed later.
2. Three applications were submitted for replacing Cemetery Commissioner, Frank Hurd.
3. Approval for the Cantwell disinterment was granted.
4. Lots in the BB section will be split into single graves.
5. The Cemetery Expansion Committee will be meeting Monday, Nov. 26, 2007.
6. Submit notice to Advocate regarding Cemetery clean-up which will begin November 16, 2007
Meeting adjourned at 10:20 and the next meeting is scheduled for December 13, 2007.
