During the month of December, D. W. White, contractor for MA Highway on the Summer St Project, will be performing the following work:
1. Curbing & concrete sidewalks from Park Ave. Extension to Harold Road, around the Brattle Street Intersection and various locations.
2. Stonewalls will be installed at various locations.
3. Installation of sub-drain between Brattle Street and Washington Street.
4. Installation of street signs.
5. Additional drainage work at Overlook Road.
6. Driveway installation at various locations.
7. Loam and seed yards and grass strips.
8. Replacement of hydrants at various locations.
Replacement of telephone poles is ongoing and being performed by Verizon. Following the replacements of these poles, Nstar will move the wires from the existing poles to the new ones.
Resident and commuters are reminded that detours will continue on a daily basis and may change depending on the work area. Access to residences, as well as businesses and the skating rink will be allowed at all times.
All work scheduled is on a weather permitting basis.
