The LINKS Program (Linking Neighborhood Kids with Seniors) will match seniors who need assistance with outdoor projects and Ottoson Middle School students living in their neighborhood.
Students provide leaf-raking, yard clean-up, weeding, moving trash to the curb, and snow shoveling services. There is a nominal fee based on the extent of the work. Due to the age of the students, they do not use power tools or snowblowers.
Seniors requesting LINKS services should call Joyce Killingsworth at the Council on Aging, 781-316-3404 to review the projects. She will obtain the necessary information relating to your request and forward to the LINKS Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will contact each senior with names and contact information of students. Please note, it takes 3-4 days for students and seniors to be LINK'd.
This program runs throughout the year.
