The Town of Arlington retained Warner Larson to create a final design for upgrades and improvements to the Summer Street Playground, basketball court and to develop a multi-generational area. The playground design will work within the Master Plan prepared by Sasaki Associates for the entire complex.
The first community meeting was held on September 24, 2009 which focused on the goals of the project, a detailed Site Analysis of existing conditions, and hearing what people from the neighborhood consider to be important factors.
Our second community meeting was November 4, 2009 during which two Preliminary Concepts for the site design were discussed along with a selection of play & fitness equipment and material options. The Arlington Parks and Recreation Commission is scheduled to review the final design at their meeting on December 8, 2009.
